Loved and Never Forgotten Fund The “Children of the 58 – Loved and Never Forgotten Fund” is intended for college and trade school tuition. Our hope is to continue to raise funds and to distribute these funds on 1 October 2019. We have been working hard this summer to establish the fund with Nevada Community Foundation, which will appoint an independent committee to manage the fund and award scholarships to eligible children.
Las Vegas Portraits Project - Opening Ceremonies 9/17 A community of artists creating portraits to honor those who lost their lives in Las Vegas on Oct.. 1, 2017. These portraits hold those we lost in remembrance and they will be on display from Sept 17 to October 19. The portraits will be gifted to the families.
Vegas Strong 5K - 9/30 at 8:00 am A race in support of Vegas Strong. All the proceeds will go towards the victims and other community needs. From their website, "As we come together again for this annual event, we will commemorate the first anniversary of One October and remember those who lost their lives. We will run and walk in their memory and in honor of the survivors and the first responders. We will never forget!"
Beautiful Lives Lost Portrait Project - 9/30 from 12 to 2:30 at the JW Marriott Hotel The Beautiful Lives Lost Portrait Project honors the 58 Las Vegas shooting victims who were invisible to the perpetrator but who we clearly see, recognize, remember and honor as victims of senseless violence. The portraits will be gifted to the families of the Beautiful Lives Lost.
Las Vegas Healing Garden - 10/1 from 5-9pm A community garden built days after the incident that encourages community bonding and healing. From their website, "This is a community garden created by the community, for the community, to heal the community, Pleggenkuhle said. “The amazing thing about this project is that everything is donated."
Country 58 Benefit Concert - 10/27 A benefit concert designed to support the victims of October 1. From their website, "A group of us survivors, vendors, management team and first responders have decided to put together a reunion and benefit for all that were affected. The name Country 58 is derived from the 58 beautiful souls who lost their life that night. " Learn more here.
